The Best Rollator Walker Review by Kendra M Carter
The first time I ever used a rollator walker was kind of a fluke.
Wow, this was waaay back in 1999 when I was working at an adult day program. I was performing the job of Social Worker and Supervisor for the day program. The latter kept me on my feet most of the day, which was tiring and frustrating because I was beginning to experience more symptoms of what I now know to be limb girdle muscular dystrophy. Standing for long periods of time was becoming painful; it was difficult for me to maintain my balance while caring things and I was falling for often. (I wasn't diagnosed at this time. I was still in the phase of the doctors thinking I was "dreaming up" my symptoms.)
The Participants who were mostly in wheelchairs due to their limited mobility and physical handicaps were really upset by my frequent "mishaps". On several occasions I was offered a ride on a lap so that I wouldn't fall as I attempted to move through the Center. How cute is that?
